Bolt Buddies

Bolt Buddies is the third mint party from the Labs, after two Labs Mystery Box drops. This time the box held 100 robots and 12 bot frens showed up: simulated collectors, each with its own testnet wallet and a personality. There was a whale, a "common magnet", paper hands, a newbie called Sprout, a late fren, a latecomer called Kit, and two testers who tried to break the rules on purpose.

Every robot's traits were rolled by Xahau's on-ledger RNG inside the mintbot hook. The box sold out 100/100 in under 9 minutes on Oct 18, 2026, and box #101 was refused by the ledger itself. Every box, roll and card in the clip is a real testnet transaction you can check below.

🎯 Fixed rarity, enforced on the ledger. The supply is exactly 60 common · 25 rare · 12 epic · 3 legendary. The hook keeps the count of what's left in its own state and draws each rarity weighted by those counts, so the totals can't drift. When all 100 are minted, it rolls back any new payment with "sold out".

📜 The page lives on the ledger too. The live gallery is stored with PWALoader (issuer page + a second account for the pixel-art code) and served by pwa.exposed. Robots load live from the owners' wallets. It's view-only: no inputs, nothing to sign.

4 test boxes were minted before the party, so 96 were left. All 10 collectors landed in the same ledger at the open, the whale signed 10 payments that all landed together, a quiet lull brought the testers out, and 8 frens raced for the last legendary. Here are the moments worth checking on the explorer.

Every Bolt Buddy, drawn from its on-ledger traits.
